We are supporting a client in their search for an Interim Finance Systems Analyst who will play a key role in supporting their global finance operations. This position is ideal for someone who has proven experience tackling system issues, improving processes, and providing high-quality support to users across multiple offices. The successful candidate will join a specialist finance systems team responsible for managing core financial platforms, responding to user queries, and ensuring accurate, compliant finance data. You’ll be involved in day-to-day operational support as well as contributing to system changes and ongoing process improvements.

Key responsibilities

  • Providing frontline support for finance systems, particularly in areas such as eBilling, billing processes, WIP, etc.
  • Investigating system queries and resolving issues in collaboration with technology teams and finance stakeholders.
  • Maintaining key finance data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established controls.
  • Reviewing and managing user access and authorisation changes, ensuring appropriate approvals and separation of duties.
  • Monitoring system activity, identifying errors, and ensuring resolution within agreed timelines.
  • Supporting enhancements and process changes by documenting requirements, completing UAT, and assisting with release activity.
  • Helping develop user guidance and contributing to training initiatives for new features or processes.
  • Participating in systems and process-related projects as part of the wider finance improvement agenda.

Qualification & Skills:

  • Experience in a finance operations, finance systems, or similar support role ideally within a professional services environment.
  • Working knowledge of SAP (S/4HANA, R/3, FI/CO) and experience with eBilling tools or related platforms.
  • Strong Excel capability and confidence handling data.
  • A methodical approach with strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to support and guide users at all levels.
