Workplace Technology Engineer Bourne End (Hybrid 2 days a week) Salary up to £42,000Were looking for a hands-on Workplace Technology Engineer to support, maintain, and incrementally enhance our Microsoft 365 digital workplace. Youll be the trusted owner of our M365 environment keeping it secure, reliable, and genuinely useful for everyone who depends on it day to day. This isnt a pure development role.

Its ideal for someone who thrives on operational ownership, has solid Power Platform skills, and is excited about growing into Copilot and AI-assisted workplace tooling. Theres real scope to shape how this technology evolves across the business.A driving licence is required, as there may be occasional travel to local regional offices.What Youll Do Microsoft 365 Administration Administer the M365 tenant: Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Entra ID (Azure AD), and IntuneConfigure and maintain collaboration, sharing, retention, and security settings in line with governance standardsManage user access, licensing, group configuration, and role assignmentsMonitor service health, handle incidents, and coordinate vendor escalationPlan and implement configuration changes from Microsoft roadmap updatesPower Platform Support and maintain existing Power Apps and Power Automate flowsBuild simple to moderately complex Power Apps (forms, approvals, workflow-driven apps)Assist with Dataverse or SharePoint-based data modelsApply basic Power Platform governance controls: environments, permissions, DLP policiesWork with business teams to translate requirements into practical low-code solutionsCopilot & Modern Workplace Support Microsoft 365 Copilot readiness: permissions hygiene, data exposure awareness, configuration checksHelp evaluate early use cases for Copilot Studio and Copilot AgentsCreate guidance and documentation to support safe and effective Copilot usageAct as a technical point of contact for Copilot questions across the businessAbout You Essential Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 in a production environmentPractical knowledge of Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, and Entra IDExperience building or supporting Power Apps and Power Automate solutionsUnderstanding of basic Power Platform governance conceptsComfortable in an operational, business-facing role with clear communication skillsDesirable Exposure to Microsoft 365 Copilot and/or Copilot StudioFamiliarity with DataverseExperience in a hybrid Microsoft environment (cloud + on-prem)Awareness of information security, data protection, and access control principlesRelevant Microsoft certifications (e.g. MS-900, PL-900, or similar)Apply Now!If you are ready to take on this exciting challenge and help shape the future of workplace technology, we would love to hear from you!Bright Purple is proud to be an equal opportunities employer.
