Desktop Support TechnicianLocation: London (central) and onsiteDay Rate: 230 p/d (Inside IR35)Role Overview:Bright Purple is recruiting for a Desktop Support Technician to join a busy IT team supporting end users across a busy corporate office in London. This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for installing, configuring and supporting desktop hardware and software, resolving technical issues, building new devices and ensuring users receive a high-quality IT support service. You'll work across a broad range of technologies, supporting both BAU activities and IT projects while maintaining excellent customer service throughout.Essential Skills:Previous experience in a Desktop Support, IT Support or Service Desk roleStrong knowledge of Windows desktop and laptop supportExperience troubleshooting hardware, software and peripheral issuesExperience building, deploying and imaging Windows devicesKnowledge of Microsoft desktop applications and enterprise softwareExperience supporting printers, email, networking and remote accessAbility to prioritise and manage incidents through a ticketing systemStrong troubleshooting and analytical skillsExcellent communication and customer service skillsDesirable Skills:Technical qualification or equivalent commercial experienceExperience with asset management and hardware lifecycle processesKnowledge of Active Directory and endpoint management toolsExperience supporting Microsoft 365 environmentsExposure to desktop security, patching and malware protectionBright Purple is an equal opportunities employer.
