Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Node.js Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality software solutions using Node.js and various other technologies. Your main tasks will include writing reusable, testable, and efficient code, ensuring the performance and reliability of our applications, and integrating user-facing elements with server-side logic.

Challenges:

As a Node.js Developer, you will tackle challenges such as optimising application performance, ensuring security and data protection, and designing scalable solutions to meet the growing demands of our services.

Desired Skills:

- Proficiency in HTML and Nunjucks
- Familiarity with Government Digital Service (GDS) standards
- Experience with Azure Service Bus, Docker, and Jenkins
- Strong background in databases such as Postgres, along with migration tools like Liquibase and Sequelize
- Expertise in Node.js
- Knowledge of Azure infrastructure
- DExperience with Hapi.js
- IExperience with Kubernetes

Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain all server-side network components.
- Ensure optimal performance of the central database and respond to requests from the front-end.
- Collaborate with front-end developers on integrating user-facing elements.
- Design customer-facing UI and back-end services for various business processes.
- Develop high-quality code that is scalable and reliable.
- Implement effective security protocols, data protection measures, and storage solutions.
- Run diagnostic tests, repair defects, and provide technical support.
