Business Analyst

Business Analyst

Salary: £35,060 – £43,826 + Benefits + Profit Share Bonus

Location: Coleshill, Birmingham (Office-based)

We’re hiring a Business Analyst to join a fast-growing SaaS and hardware-integrated technology business that powers the full customer and vehicle journey for major parking and logistics operations across the UK. This role sits within the Product function and plays a critical part in bringing structure, clarity, and discovery discipline to support Product, Engineering and QA teams.

We welcome applications from candidates looking for full-time, part-time or job-share arrangements. Inclusivity and flexible working are at the heart of our culture.

The Role

As a Business Analyst, you will help shape how products are understood, documented, and delivered. You’ll work closely with internal teams and clients to uncover pain points, define requirements, and ensure the delivery of high-quality features and improvements.

You will:

  • Investigate and document current product behaviour across web, mobile, kiosks, lockers, and ANPR-integrated systems.
  • Produce process maps, data flows, user journeys, state models, and maintain documentation in Confluence and Jira.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions and workflow analysis with internal teams and customers.
  • Use frameworks such as Business Process Modelling, Customer Journey Mapping and Jobs To Be Done (JTBD) to uncover true user needs.
  • Translate insights into clear, testable user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Define NFRs, identify edge cases, dependencies, and risks early.
  • Support Product and Engineering Leads with roadmap refinement and sequencing.
  • Work closely with QA to ensure traceability between requirements and test cases.
  • Partner with stakeholders to confirm acceptance criteria are met pre-release.
  • Participate in post-deployment reviews to evaluate whether business outcomes have been achieved.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience as a Business Analyst or Product Analyst within a software, ideally SaaS environment.
  • Strong capability in creating process workflows, journey maps and JTBD-based problem statements.
  • A curious mindset with the confidence to challenge assumptions and explore underlying root causes.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience defining and validating NFRs, identifying edge cases, and managing competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management.
  • Full UK driving licence for occasional site visits.

Desirable Experience

  • Exposure to hardware-integrated SaaS products (e.g. ANPR, kiosks, IoT).
  • Understanding of airport, parking, transport, or logistics operations.
  • Basic analytics or SQL capability.
  • Awareness of accessibility, data protection, and operational safety.
