Band 2 - Administration Assistant - Gynaecology
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
This vacancy is available as either 1 x full-time post (37.5 hours per week) or 2 x part-time job-share posts (18.75 hours per week each).

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will provide administrative support to both the Waiting List Coordinator team and the Medical Secretary team, helping to ensure that the service runs efficiently and that patients receive a high-quality administrative service throughout their care.
This is a varied role within a busy hospital environment and would suit someone who is organised, reliable and enjoys working as part of a team. You will have regular contact with patients, including communicating with them by telephone, so you should be confident, professional and compassionate when speaking with patients and their families.

Person Specification
Education and qualifications
- GCSE (or equivalent) in English & Maths
- Relevant administration or customer service qualification
Knowledge, skills and abilities
- Good written and verbal communication skills and IT skills
- Ability to communicate confidently and professionally and work effectively as part of a team.
- Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
- Knowledge of NHS administrative processes.
Experience
- Experience of working as part of a team
- Experience of managing and prioritising a workload
