BPAS is looking for a talented Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality data analysis, reporting and insight that drives performance, informs planning, and helps shape services across our organisation.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Business Intelligence function at an important stage of development. You will help expand our reporting capability and support increasing organisational reliance on data-driven decision-making.

You'll take an active role in shaping reporting solutions and improving how data is used across the organisation, working across departments including clinical services, finance, operations and IT.

This is a permanent, full time role working 36 hours per week over Monday to Friday. It is a hybrid arrangement, where you will come to Head Office in Leamington Spa, typically 1-2 days a month.

Main duties of the job

  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from a range of systems and sources
  • Develop and maintain data visualisations and dashboards in Power BI
  • Provide training and support to users of dashboards and reporting tools
  • Analyse and interpret complex datasets to ensure accuracy, consistency and meaningful insight
  • Ensure compliance with data protection legislation and internal governance policies
  • Identify and support improvements in reporting frameworks and data infrastructure
  • Work with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver practical, user-friendly outputs
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and advancements in business intelligence, analytics, and data visualisation

About You

The successful candidate will hold a degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field alongside a minimum one year of experience in a similar BI, Analytics or reporting role. You should excel in Power BI for designing and developing reports including hands on experience in data modelling and SQL querying.

Your strong analytical mindset, problem-solving abilities, & excellent interpersonal skills will be crucial in effectively communicating insights & recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

We are also looking for:

  • Knowledge of GDPR and experience working within data governance frameworks
  • Experience working directly with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements

Salary £40,000 - £50,000 per annum depending on skills and experience

Hours 36 hours per week

Hours of Work Monday to Thursday 09:00 to 17:00 | Friday 09:00 to 15:30

Location Hybrid working with travel to head office approximately 1 -2 days per month- although this may be more frequent during the initial familiarisation process

Qualifications

Essential
  • Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, OR equivalent experience
Desirable
  • Additional training in Power BI, SQL, or data visualisation techniques

Experience

Essential
  • Please describe your experience delivering BI, analytics, or reporting work, including how your outputs have been used to support decision-making
  • Experience working with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements
  • Hands-on experience in data modelling, Power BI report development, and SQL querying
Desirable
  • Familiarity with ETL processes, data warehousing, or automation of reporting tasks

Skills and Knowledge

Essential
  • Please describe your experience using Microsoft SQL for data querying and analysis, including examples of the types of queries or datasets you have worked with
  • Please describe your experience designing and developing reports in Power BI, including examples of dashboards or reporting solutions you have created
Desirable
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables, Power Query, and VBA
  • Understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodology
  • Knowledge of cloud-based BI tools and integration with databases
