Job Title: IT Risk Specialist – Strategic Transformation & Oversight

Location: Flexible but will be required to visit the central office in Isle of Man bi-weekly

Salary: £60,000-£80,000

Are you a seasoned IT Risk professional ready to make a real impact during a pivotal transformation?

We’re seeking a senior IT Risk Specialist to step into a critical role within a leading financial services group that is currently mid-way through a major technology re-platforming and transformation initiative, including the integration of Friends Provident. The current post-holder is departing mid-June, and we’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running and take strategic ownership of this high-stakes programme.

What You'll Do:

• Provide independent IT risk oversight for group-wide change initiatives — approximately two-thirds of which are IT-related.
• Deliver strategic challenge and assurance on change management, programme execution, and roadmap feasibility.
• Ensure sound decision-making across the board — reporting directly to the Board, Non-Executive Directors, and shareholders.
• Oversee the transformation roadmap through to 2027 and beyond, as the group continues to grow via acquisition.
• Help drive the organisation’s shift from on-premise systems to a cloud-based architecture, ensuring risk is well-managed throughout.

What We're Looking For:

• A confident, senior IT risk specialist with experience in change management and complex project oversight.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, capable of reporting at executive level.
• Experience in regulated financial services environments preferred.
• Ability to work both strategically and operationally — balancing big-picture thinking with hands-on governance.
• Willingness to travel regularly to the Isle of Man, with some flexibility in home base location.
