Product Strategy Manager
Product Strategy Manager - Up to £500/€550 a day - 12 month contract - Remote working with occasional travel to Germany
My client is looking for a Product Strategy Manager for a 12 month contract with occasional travel to Germany who has a strong product background-whether from product management, design leadership, or research leadership-who can shape and guide strategic direction across complex B2B product landscapes. This role goes far beyond feature delivery. We're looking for someone who excels at defining the problem space, framing opportunities, and crafting strategies that enable teams to move decisively and intelligently.
This role demands exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills-at least half of the role involves influencing, facilitating alignment, and working directly with senior leaders.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead product strategy development across discovery, opportunity analysis, direction-setting, and prioritisation.
- Define problem spaces, conduct strategic framing, and guide teams toward validated, evidence-based product decisions.
- Create and maintain product roadmaps that reflect business goals, customer needs, and technological considerations.
- Synthesize insights from research, market trends, analytics, and business objectives to create strategic narratives and clear product direction.
- Partner with senior stakeholders across Product, Design, Engineering, and Business functions, ensuring alignment and buy-in at all levels.
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops to create shared understanding, clarify priorities, and accelerate strategic decisions.
- Act as a strategic thought partner for product teams, helping guide long-term vision and near-term decision-making.
- Communicate strategy with clarity, ensuring complex recommendations are explained simply, persuasively, and with business impact in mind.
Key skills:
- Strong product background-product management, design leadership, UX research leadership, or similar.
- Proven experience in B2B product environments, ideally within SaaS, enterprise, or other complex domains.
- Demonstrated capability in building both exploratory ("getting there") and long-term ("steering the ship") strategies.
- Expert use of strategic frameworks, with the ability to explain when/why each is applied.
- Exceptional communication and soft skills, with a track record of influencing and managing senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, able to zoom out to the big picture and zoom in to actionable detail.
- Comfortable working independently, navigating ambiguity, and driving clarity in uncertain problem spaces.
- German language skills are a bonus but not essential.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to Germany for workshops, alignment sessions, or stakeholder meetings.
