Senior Data Operations Manager

Senior Data Operations Manager - Up to £75,000 plus bonus & benefits - London/hybrid

My client, a growing marketing company based in London offering hybrid work (with occasional weekend work - 1 day every three weekends), is looking to hire a Senior Data Operations Manager. You will take ownership of the automation and optimisation of our data operations processes, managing the transition from manual workflows to scalable solutions. You'll scope basic technical requirements and collaborate closely with our engineering team to deliver integrations that streamline how we collect and process data.

Key responsibilities:

  • Own daily revenue reporting, including data extraction, validation and transformation across multiple systems.
  • Pipeline Monitoring - You'll check that our data ingestion pipelines are running correctly and flag any issues, helping maintain the integrity of our data operations.
  • Define and enforce data quality standards, implementing validation frameworks (where needed) and monitoring to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex data issues, working cross-functionally with engineering, finance, and commercial teams to resolve them.
  • Own the end-to-end automation of data collection and reporting processes, from scoping to delivery and iteration.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, building business cases and driving implementation.
  • Champion the adoption of AI and emerging technologies to continuously evolve how we work.

Key skills:

  • Previous experience in data operations, data analysis, or a similar role, with at least 1 year in a senior or lead capacity
  • Proven ability to project manage technical workstreams, from requirements gathering through to delivery, using tools such as Jira, Asana, or similar
  • Strong SQL skills and advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (scripting, complex formulas, automation)
  • Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and document processes clearly
  • A solid understanding of data integrity, and their importance in a performance marketing environment
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset, comfortable operating with autonomy and taking ownership of outcomes
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where priorities can shift quickly
  • Familiarity with BI/reporting tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Google Data Studio) and data pipeline concepts
