  • Location: Manchester (Hybrid – 1 day per week onsite)
  • Contract: 6 months initial (likely extensions)
  • Rate: £210 per day (Inside IR35)

The Role

We are recruiting an experienced Contingent Recruiter / Inbound Sourcer to support high-volume hiring across technical roles during a period of increased demand. This is a delivery-focused, individual contributor role, ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys ownership of recruitment delivery, and excels at managing large candidate volumes at the top of the funnel.

You’ll be part of a newly merged Talent Attraction / Inbound Sourcing team, reporting into a Talent Delivery function and working closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and recruitment operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own top-of-funnel recruitment delivery for assigned roles
  • Review, screen, and process high volumes of inbound applications and referrals
  • Manage 12–14 live requisitions at any one time
  • Handle 300–400 applications per role (up to 500–1,000 per week overall)
  • Conduct structured CV screening and candidate shortlisting
  • Submit screened candidates into live roles via an ATS
  • Act as the first point of contact for candidates entering the organisation’s talent ecosystem
  • Support and advise on:
  • Job adverts
  • Talent attraction strategies
  • Top-of-funnel effectiveness
  • Deliver a high-quality candidate experience through clear, timely communication
  • Track recruitment activity using data and insights to improve screening efficiency
  • Ensure all recruitment activity aligns with internal policies and employment regulations

Required Experience & Knowledge

  • 3+ years’ experience in recruitment or sourcing (agency or in-house)
  • Proven experience in high-volume recruitment environments
  • Technical recruitment exposure is essential, particularly within: Backend Software Engineering, Data Science, Data Engineering, Machine Learning
  • Ability to manage workload at pace and hit the ground running
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communicator, comfortable engaging candidates and stakeholders
  • Experience working with ATS platforms and automated screening processes
