If you were starting this business today, how would you design the way it operates?
That is the question at the heart of this opportunity.
An established operational business has secured approval for the first phase of a transformation programme and is seeking an experienced Business Process Analyst to help shape its future ways of working.
Working with the Business Transformation Lead, you will bring stakeholders together, challenge assumptions and design efficient, joined-up processes across business functions. Future systems remain open for consideration, so the focus is on understanding what the business needs and defining how it should operate.
The role

  • Facilitate workshops with operational teams, department heads and technical stakeholders.
  • Review existing process maps and working practices to understand issues, dependencies and constraints.
  • Design future-state processes, challenging duplication, unnecessary hand-offs and established ways of working.
  • Help stakeholders consider different approaches to team responsibilities and cross-functional working.
  • Capture business requirements and produce clear process maps, SOPs, requirements documentation and user stories.
  • Identify opportunities for standardisation, automation and improved operational performance.
  • Maintain a central repository of process documentation.
  • Support testing, UAT, training and process adoption as the programme progresses.

You will work with people with differing levels of technical confidence and appetite for change. Your ability to listen, build trust and constructively challenge “we have always done it this way” will be central to your success.
What we are looking for

  • Proven experience in business process analysis, business analysis or operational transformation.
  • Evidence of designing and implementing future-state processes across multiple business functions.
  • Strong workshop facilitation, stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • The ability to translate operational discussions into clear, practical documentation.
  • Confidence challenging assumptions while respecting the experience of existing teams.
  • Experience supporting business change or systems transformation.
  • Familiarity with process mapping tools such as Lucidchart or equivalent.

Experience in hire, manufacturing or another operationally complex business would be useful. Relevant business analysis or process improvement training would also be beneficial.
You should be comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with the transformation lead. Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK and able to attend the office regularly.
To apply, send your CV with your availability, day-rate expectations and a brief example of a future-state process redesign you have delivered.
