My Peterborough-based client is seeking a visionary Head of Engineering and Platform to lead the transformation of their technology operations. In this permanent, GBP95,000 role, you will redefine how engineering powers their national distribution and retail business, setting the standards for architecture, quality, security, and resilience across our .NET-based, cloud-hosted platforms. - Hands-on experience designing, building, and evolving .NET-based systems, with expertise in application architecture, integration, and cloud-hosted platforms
- Proven track record of leading engineering teams and driving platform or engineering transformation in complex, operationally critical environments
- Ability to balance delivery pressure with long-term technical health, embedding DevSecOps and automation at scale
- Sound engineering judgement and the curiosity to continuously improve systems and processes
- Comfortably engaging deeply in technical work, guiding engineering decisions, and supporting teams through challenging delivery
- Extensive experience in a senior, hands-on technical leadership role within a .NET-based engineering environment
- Proven track record of owning production environments and driving operational excellence
- Demonstrated ability to translate engineering realities into business impact and influence decision-making at the highest levels
