Reporting Analyst - 12 Month Contract

Broster Buchanan are recruiting for a Data reporting Analyst on a 12 month Contract - Fully Remote - Education experience essential This role is focused on the development and delivery of high-quality insights and data products using our Microsoft data technologies, including Power BI and Fabric. The postholder will play a key role in supporting the Data Team's reporting cycle and product development, ensuring continuity while other team members step into temporary leadership responsibilities. 
  • Ownership of end-to-end Power BI dashboard production, development and maintenance processes
  • Co-designing with stakeholders any regular performance and activity reports, producing such reports, and providing appropriate analysis or commentary as required
  • Supporting the Data Team's delivery capacity during a key leadership transition period
  • Contributing to increased data literacy and data engagement from stakeholders, through all stages of development, including training, support, and responding to customer queries on products and collections (including ad-hoc requests and queries), and promoting the data cycle and procedures
  • Contributing to Group-wide organisational effectiveness, workload and cost reduction through the automated use of data sets
  • Ensuring robust data governance, access control, and quality assurance in all reporting outputs
Personal Experience
  • Advanced Power BI skills, including DAX, data modelling, and Power Query
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Basic SQL knowledge
  • Proven experience working with trust-level education data, ideally within a multi-academy trust or similar large education organisation
  • Ability to deliver reporting solutions independently and at pace, including requirements gathering, documentation, design, delivery, review, product training, and responding to user queries
  • Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and translating strategic needs into reporting outputs
  • Confidence in presenting complex data clearly to non-technical audiences
  • Strong sense of ownership and commitment to accuracy, clarity, and usability
  • Understanding of data governance, access control, and secure reporting practices
  • Self-starter with a delivery mindset and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Proactive willingness to support the ongoing development and growth of themselves and colleagues
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
