Role

Our Financial Services client has an immediate permanent vacancy for an experienced Business Analyst to join their team and play a key role in delivering complex change initiatives across the full project lifecycle. This is an exciting opportunity to work on strategic business and technology transformation programs, bridging the gap between stakeholder needs and technical solutions to ensure successful outcomes.

You will lead Business Analysis activities within the organisation's Business Analysis Framework, bringing a blend of analytical insight and practical experience across business change and IT improvement programs. This includes process design, system enhancements, and operational efficiencies. You will also support and mentor other Business Analysts across the function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand current state, vision, and goals.
  • Define problem statements and articulate the benefits of addressing them.
  • Translate stakeholder needs into structured outputs that enable solution design.
  • Conduct options analysis and contribute to business case recommendations.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to update and create processes, procedures, and training materials.
  • Analyse workflows and processes to identify improvement opportunities and technology enhancements.
  • Produce clear and detailed user stories and requirements using BA tools and techniques.
  • Manage stakeholder engagement effectively to elicit requirements and gain approvals.
  • Prepare documentation to support governance and ensure end-to-end process coverage.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented changes.
  • Act as a senior liaison between project teams, business stakeholders, and technology teams.
  • Support and upskill other Business Analysts within the function.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience in business analysis within financial services.
  • Strong background in complex business and systems analysis, translating needs into functional and technical requirements.
  • Experience with projects delivered by third-party vendors.
  • Familiarity with BA tools and techniques; experience with data analysis tools (SQL, Excel, Tableau) advantageous.
  • Relevant qualifications such as BCS Diploma in Business Analysis or Lean Six Sigma preferred.
  • Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, IT, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools is advantageous.
