Senior PHP Laravel Developer

• Ideally based in or around Wigan but a WFH role
• Laravel PHP Senior level developer with strong API experience
• Websocket, AI and LLM experience preferred

My client is seeking a talented Senior PHP Laravel Developer.   As a key member of this AI-forward organization, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction and continued development of thier flagship product. This is not a typical "write tickets, ship code" role, but rather an opportunity to contribute to architectural decisions, challenge existing approaches, and drive the evolution of this cutting-edge platform.  Highlights:

• Permanent, full-time role with a competitive salary range of £50,000 - £70,000 DOE
• Predominantly remote work, with a preference for candidates based in or around Wigan
• Opportunity to work with the latest technologies, including Laravel, Vue.js, AWS, and AI-powered tools

Preferred Requirements:

• Design and build new features end-to-end across the Laravel backend and Vue.js frontend
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy for the platform
• Work on the import pipeline: ingesting, validating, enriching, and calculating data
• Build and maintain integrations with external APIs
• Improve performance and scalability of data processing across millions of tariff measures and large-scale batch operations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong, proven PHP and Laravel experience
• Comfortable with Vue.js or a comparable modern JavaScript framework
• Solid understanding of relational databases and background job processing

This role is predominantly remote; however, preference will be given for those based in or around Wigan, as you will be working day to day closely with colleagues in the Wigan and Sheffield areas.
