System Implementation & Architecture Lead
About The Role We’re excited to offer an opportunity for an Implementation & Architecture Lead to join our UK team. In this role, you will primarily take ownership of the technical delivery of our Business ERP Solution – Business Central throughout its implementation phase and sustain the architecture framework post implementation.We’re seeking a strong communicator with proven technical leadership and extensive experience in IT system design, implementation, and management. The ideal candidate will be adept at engaging with both internal and external stakeholders, providing clear guidance, and setting expectations throughout the implementation lifecycle.Key Responsibilities: Technical Vision and Design:
- Lead the technical design of systems, and effectively communicate these decisions to teams and stakeholders.
- Define architecture vision, patterns, and standards to guide development across the BRUSH system landscape
- Outline non-functional requirements (NFRs) and enablers to ensure systems are robust, scalable, and meet performance targets.
- Mentor and guide both internal and external stakeholders, and other technical staff, ensuring work aligns with the overall BRUSH architecture strategy.
- Lead and facilitate architecture risk reviews to identify potential issues and ensure adherence to design principles - during and post implementation phase.
- Oversee the implementation of architectural designs, ensuring they are translated effectively into deliverable systems.
- Manage capacity for technical enablement work to support the delivery of the architectural vision.
- Coordinate with other teams, such as business stakeholders, to achieve project goals.
- Perform and interpret technical assessments, to identify and address risks and vulnerabilities.
- Assure the quality of technical work, ensuring it fits into the broader strategic architecture of the organization.
- Engage with senior stakeholders to present technical trade-offs and gain consensus, linking technology decisions to business outcomes.
- Advise on security controls and cloud platform best practices, balancing usability, cost, and compliance requirements.
- Degree or equivalent
- Experience as an implementation manager
- Experience in solution planning, analysis, design, and implementation
- Experience in medium to large scale implementation
- Experience in medium to large scale data migrations
- Familiarity with integration tools and methodologies
- Experience in working in an Agile environment
- Experience in change management
- Experience in enforcing processes
- Strong understanding of architectural design techniques and best practices.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are a plus.
- Understanding in at least some of the following technologies:
- Java and the JVM ecosystem
- JavaScript and popular frameworks
- Python and its ecosystem
- AWS and/or Azure
- Popular databases and SQL versions
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
- In-depth understanding of computers, operating systems (including master data) and system security
- Excellent project management skills; ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects / tasks simultaneously
- Thorough attention to detail
- Risk identification and management skills; ability to detect potential issues and associated risks for the architecture
