You'll play a vital role in safeguarding our digital infrastructure, supporting our mission to help people lead healthier, more independent lives.
- This is a hands on role.
- Strong technical knowledge of cyber security frameworks, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with security controls, GRC (governance, risk, and compliance) processes, and digital tools such as O365 and SharePoint. DSPT and CAF.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and mentoring skills.

Main duties of the job
- Lead and Mentor:Guide junior team members and provide cover for senior colleagues, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.
- Risk & Compliance:Conduct complex cyber security risk assessments and audits, ensuring our systems meet the highest standards, CAF and DSPT.
- Innovate & Improve:Drive process improvements, implement automation, and continuously evolve our security capabilities.
- Strategic Impact:Support the department's strategic direction, contribute to policy development, and lead on audits and research projects.
- Incident Response:Assess and respond to incidents, vulnerabilities, and threats, using your expertise to keep our organisation secure.
- Training & Communication:Deliver specialist training and guidance, making complex information accessible to a wide audience.
- Reporting & Governance:Develop dashboards, metrics, and reports to inform decision-making and track remediation activities.

Person Specification
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
- Degree level qualification relevant for the role or demonstrable equivalent level of experience.
- Specialist cyber related qualification
- ITIL min v3
EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience of working to tight KPI's/targets
- Previous experience of imputing into strategic plans and policies
- Previous experience of project and change management skills and/or techniques.
- Experience of working in a large and complex multi-tiered environment
