Data Warehouse Engineer
Job summary
The post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service supporting managers and staff across the organisation. The post holder will complete development, deployment and on-going system management for the data warehouse, self-service reporting environments and related systems for Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust NHS Trust.
Main duties of the job
This role is pivotal to the development and enhancement of our Datawarehouse. The role is designed to build a combination of subject matter expertise and technical skills to develop a strong service delivery. As a Datawarehouse Engineer the role provides support to the data warehouse team and the wider BI team on a day to day basis, prioritising work and allocating resources to deliver high quality work to agreed specification and within agreed timeline. The role will focus on the development and deployment of data platform and data models for use by other teams in Healthcare Analytics and other teams across the Trust, as necessary.

Person Specification
Education
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in relevant field
- Evidence of continued Training in relevant field
Experience
- Development and implementation of information solutions in a complex organisation ideally in a healthcare sector setting
- NHS Data Standards and definitions
- Experience of using System C's Careflow (Medway) EPR/BI
- Experience of RiO data
Skills, Abilities & Knowledge
- Project Management skills
- Strong SQL and SQL Server (or equivalent) skills
- Expert skill level in all MS Office products
- Familiarity with one of more scripting languages - Python, R and PowerShell
- Expert knowledge of NHS Commissioning and Payment by Results including a proven track record of SUS and SLAM output development, including national HRG grouping tools
