Training Administrator - Clinical Systems

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Buckinghamshire Healthcare Trust EPR Team. We are looking for candidates with the potential to develop and progress within the training service.

The post holder will be part of the team responsible for coordinating, administration and offering clerical support for the delivery for all business as usual training for clinical, nursing and administrative staff who require access to Trust systems. These include the systems deployed through the Digital Health Programme, as well as new systems to be deployed in the future. Through the delivery of effective training, ensure that staff follow best practice adhering to Trust Information Governance policies and follows standard operating procedures specific to their work area.

The post holder will be expected to work flexibly when required and travel to other Trust sites across Buckinghamshire.

Main duties of the job

As part of the Digital Transformation Programme which is in support of Buckinghamshire Healthcare Trust's Digital Strategy, we are seeking to recruit an IT Trainer that will sit within the EPR team to drive advances in patient care and efficient processes across the Trust.

They will be the main point of contact within the training team, for Trust wide managers and staff, answering queries and offering advice and guidance with regards to EPR development and training curriculum and occasional lead on specific engagement activities, as directed by the Project Manager, core to the promotion of EPR Training opportunities.

Person Specification

Education, Qualifications & Training

Essential
  • Specialist knowledge or evidence of formal training qualification (A Level equivalent)
  • 5 or more GCSE level qualifications including English and Mathematics at grade A to C or equivalent
Desirable
  • Formal Training Qualification or proof of experience Microsoft office user specialist

Experience

Essential
  • Experience of co-ordinating meetings or events
  • Experience supporting training and education in an online environment and face to face
  • Dealing with members of the public, customers internal and external.
  • Recent work within a learning environment
  • Experience using and supporting users in an EPR and other clinical Systems within the NHS
  • Experience of working in a busy administration environment

Skills, Abilities & Knowledge

Essential
  • Ability to work autonomously and part of a team own scope of practice
  • Ability to communicate, negotiate and persuade complex information effectively with all clinical/non-clinical staff
  • Ability to plan workload, manage own time and prioritises multiple tasks and responds pragmatically to unpredictable interruptions or conflicting/changing priorities
  • Demonstrates initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, in particular Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Understanding of general office procedures
  • Evidence of developed verbal and written communication skill
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Customer focus and experience in working successfully with clinical and non-clinical staff

Special Circumstances

Essential
  • Able to travel between all Trust sites
  • Able to work flexible hours including occasional evening and weekends if required
  • Able to provide on-call services
