ROLE PROFILE:
We are a technology and innovation-focused business operating at the intersection of international expansion, cross-border partnerships, and market entry strategy. We work closely with companies in the UK and overseas to enable global growth through strategic collaborations, technology transfer, M&A support, and the creation of international sales and distribution networks.
We operate across key global markets including Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, supporting both UK-based companies seeking to expand internationally and overseas businesses looking to enter or scale within the UK market.
This is a hands-on, commercially driven role working directly with the founder. The successful candidate will play a central role in originating opportunities, managing cross-border relationships, and facilitating transactions from introduction through execution.
THE ROLE
The Cross-Border Business Development Manager will be responsible for originating, developing, and closing international business opportunities.
On the UK side, the role focuses on identifying companies interested in:
- Overseas expansion
- Opening international offices
- Strategic collaborations and joint ventures
- Technology transfer or technical tie-ups
- M&A opportunities
- International sales and distribution partnerships
- On the international side, the role involves:
- Developing relationships directly with overseas companies, partners, and buyers in target
- international markets
- Building and managing international sales and distribution channels
- Securing commercial opportunities and orders across international markets
- You will coordinate closely with overseas counterparts, partners, and stakeholders to drive
- transactions forward, manage relationships, and ensure smooth execution across borders. This is an on-site or hybrid role in West London, working closely with the founder. The environment is entrepreneurial, fast-moving, and outcomes-focused, with a high degree of autonomy and ownership.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identifying and securing UK-based clients seeking international expansion
- Developing opportunities for overseas companies entering or scaling in the UK
- Building and managing cross-border partnerships and commercial relationships
- Facilitating collaborations including technology transfer, JV structures, and strategic tie-ups
- Supporting M&A-related introductions and early-stage deal coordination
- Developing sales and distribution networks across markets
- Acting as the key point of coordination between UK and overseas stakeholders
- Managing discussions, negotiations, and follow-through across jurisdictions
- Working closely with the founder on strategy, market development, and opportunity
prioritisation
• Producing presentations, proposals, and high-level commercial documentation Note: This role is broad by design and will evolve as the business grows.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR Essential:
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in cross-border business development, international partnerships, consulting, or a related role
- Experience working within technology, innovation, engineering, or related sectors
- Strong understanding of international business expansion models
- Proven ability to build and manage senior stakeholder relationships
- Commercially minded with strong negotiation and communication skills
- Comfortable working independently in an entrepreneurial environment
- Highly organised, proactive, and results-driven
Desirable:
- Experience working across UK, Europe, Middle East, or Asian markets
- Exposure to M&A support, market entry strategy, or technology transfer projects
