The Role

We are looking for a commercially driven and operationally strong Client Director to lead our client delivery function and help us scale with quality and consistency. This is a senior leadership role, responsible for managing and growing our client relationships, developing high-performing delivery processes, and helping to shape the future of the business.

Key Responsibilities

Client Leadership & Relationship Management

  • Lead and develop strategic relationships with Bula’s key clients, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point and quality control for client delivery across all services.
  • Identify and action opportunities to upsell and cross-sell services within our existing client base.
  • Collaborate with Partners and consultants to align on client growth strategies and execution plans.

Operational Excellence & Delivery

  • Build and oversee delivery frameworks and processes to ensure consistency and efficiency across the business.
  • Develop systems to track and improve the quality and impact of our client engagements.
  • Work closely with the MD to develop best-in-class operational, onboarding, and reporting touchpoints.
  • Support the recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of delivery team members and consultants.

Commercial & Business Growth

  • Support the MD in driving commercial performance and contributing to business targets.
  • Contribute to new business pitches, onboarding, and early-stage client strategy work.
  • Monitor client health, contract renewals, and service performance to ensure retention and growth.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to help shape case studies, proof points, and Bula’s market presence.

Support for Bula Ventures

  • Assist in managing relationships with portfolio companies and overseeing strategic support initiatives.
  • Help assess potential investments through operational and commercial due diligence.
  • Provide ad-hoc consultancy to founders and teams within the venture portfolio where appropriate.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in a senior client-facing and operational role, ideally in a consultancy, agency, or digital business.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in managing and growing key accounts.
  • Deep understanding of service delivery and operational processes across marketing, growth, or digital.
  • A natural relationship-builder who thrives in fast-paced, founder-led environments.
  • Confident working across multiple projects and priorities with senior stakeholders.
