Finance Systems Manager (North West)

Job Title: Finance Systems Manager

Location: Greater Manchester / Hybrid - 2 days on-site

Contract Duration: 6 months

Day Rate: £350-£500 Outside IR35

About the Role:

Burman Recruitment are seeking a qualified (ACCA) and experienced finance professional to support a university with a critical phase of Oracle Fusion ERP and HCM implementation, going live in August 2025. This 6-month contract role will focus on financial data migration, reconciliation, and year end audit documentation during a period of significant system and process transition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with ERP data migration activities during the cut-over phase
• Perform detailed sub-ledger reconciliations to ensure Oracle Fusion ERP opening balances match SAP closing balances
• Prepare thorough and audit-ready documentation outlining data migration mappings and reconciliations for external audit (October 2025)
• Provide hands-on support for month-end close processes during and after go-live
• Contribute to refining and optimising the post go-live month-end timetable

What We’re Looking For:

• Fully qualified accountant with a strong foundation in audit
• Proven experience with financial reconciliations and audit preparation
• Previous involvement in ERP data migration projects.
• Familiarity with Oracle Fusion ERP implementations.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently under tight deadlines
