Data Product Manager
Data Product Manager | Decisioning
📍 London: 1-2 days per week in the office
💵 £100,000-£114,000 + bonus
Are you a Product Manager who wants to sit at the intersection of data science, personalisation and commercial strategy, with real influence over how a business makes decisions at scale?
If so, this could be the ideal next step for you.
As Data Product Manager, you'll wrap around the data science team and own the experimentation paradigm, helping shape the decisioning and personalisation strategy - next best action, next best offer, recommender systems - for a large consumer loyalty business with a genuinely rich and complex data ecosystem. You'll prioritise the DS roadmap, align data science output with front-end product teams, and make sure the team is working on the highest-value bets rather than technically impressive but strategically misaligned ones. This role exists precisely because that alignment gap is real: a fully functional semantic search product was built without front-end buy-in and still isn't in use.
What are they looking for?
- A former data scientist who has moved into product, or equivalent experience turning data science and optimisation work into real products
- Someone who has worked inside a data science function and understands how models actually get built
- Strong product judgement, able to weigh up model development by business impact rather than technical polish alone
- Comfortable holding your own with data scientists on what's feasible and what trade-offs are worth making
- Confidence operating with senior stakeholders, including where priorities genuinely conflict
- A solid grasp of how data science and experimentation work is typically structured and delivered
- A track record of getting models out of testing and into everyday use, not just building something clever
What's in it for you?
- A rare product role that sits genuinely at the intersection of data science, personalisation and commercial strategy
- Real influence over how decisioning and personalisation work end-to-end, not just at the margins
- A business with a rich, complex data ecosystem and real scale to make an impact in
- A mandate to fix a known problem - misalignment between DS output and front-end delivery - rather than inherit a vague brief
