Principal Software Engineer (Go/Systems) 🚀 Series B Scale Up 🔬 Life Sciences

Salary: £170,000 plus package

Location: Angel (3 days per week in office)

Requirements: Backend engineering specialist, with expertise in Golang, Python, Rust, Kubernetes

The Mission: Orchestrating Physical Reality 🤖

I am working with a Series B powerhouse ($100M+ raised) disrupting the Life Sciences sector by building a cloud-to-hardware "Operating System" that automates human health. They are looking to hire a Principal Software Engineer who will be the technical heavyweight that 5–6 Staff Engineers rally behind.

⚡ The Technical Core

• The ecosystem is built for high-concurrency and extreme performance. To lead here, you need to be a Go Specialist. You aren't just coding in it; you’ve used Go to build, scale, and architect non-trivial backend systems.
• Deep experience with Rust (huge plus) or the ability to navigate complex Python environments.
• Mastery of Kubernetes, Containers, and Software-Defined Networking (SDN).
• They are hiring for a Principal Software Engineer who can build products that will accelerate the cure for diseases alongside global healthcare giants.

🎯 Who You Are

• 13–20 years backend engineering experience covering Golang, Rust, Python.
• You’re a whiteboard native. You design distributed systems that bridge the gap between digital orchestration and physical robotics.
• Experince mentoring Staff and Senior Engineers, winning their respect through technical depth.
• As the Principal Software Engineer, you spot the gap, architect the fix, and lead the charge.
