We’re hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join a well-funded data business operating in the government / intelligence space.

This Senior Software Engineer role sits within the Core Engineering team, working on a high-scale data platform analysing complex transaction data. It’s a technically challenging environment with real-world impact.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll optimise ETL/ELT pipelines (batch & streaming), improve architecture and latency (with a big focus on this), strengthen data quality and monitoring, and evolve APIs powering production systems. There’s real ownership here , they need a Senior Software Engineer who can lead initiatives, mentor others, and help mature the platform as it scales.

Key experience:

• Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer
• Strong Python and SQL
• ETL/ELT pipeline design
• AWS or GCP
• Kubernetes
• Databricks
• Large-scale batch and/or streaming systems

Blockchain/crypto exposure is a bonus.

Comp-wise, they’re flexible. The total package generally sits between £100k–£140k (base + bonus + shares), paying for impact and seniority.
