The Opportunity

We are working with a growing software organisation looking to appoint an experienced Senior Product Manager to take ownership of the strategy and roadmap across its core software product portfolio.

This is a senior, hands-on position suited to someone who combines strong commercial awareness with excellent product management skills. You will work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to understand market needs, identify opportunities and ensure product investment is focused on delivering genuine customer and commercial value.

You'll collaborate across Engineering, Architecture, Professional Services, Customer Service, Sales and Pre-Sales, acting as a central point for product strategy, roadmap prioritisation and communication.

Key Responsibilities

Product Roadmap

  • Own and maintain the product roadmap across multiple software offerings.
  • Prioritise initiatives based on customer value, commercial impact, strategic alignment and technical feasibility.
  • Define clear product objectives, outcomes and measures of success.
  • Communicate roadmap priorities effectively across the organisation.

Product Discovery & Strategy

  • Engage directly with customers, prospects and internal teams to understand challenges and identify opportunities.
  • Translate customer feedback, market insight and business objectives into product initiatives.
  • Lead product discovery for new functionality, capabilities and enhancements.
  • Develop clear business cases and recommendations for product investment.

Product Governance & Prioritisation

  • Own the intake and prioritisation process for product requests.
  • Assess new opportunities using a consistent, evidence-based framework.
  • Balance immediate customer requirements against the longer-term product strategy.
  • Ensure product and roadmap decisions are transparent and commercially justified.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Work closely with Engineering, Architecture and Professional Services to shape solutions and priorities.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Pre-Sales, Customer Service and delivery teams to ensure product plans reflect real customer requirements.
  • Act as a central point of coordination for product roadmap planning.
  • Support the creation of clearly defined and measurable sprint priorities.

Quality & Leadership

  • Champion quality throughout the entire product lifecycle.
  • Ensure quality considerations are built into product planning and decision-making.
  • Support continuous improvement across testing, release and product quality processes.
  • Provide leadership and line management to a senior member of the quality function.

Essential Experience

We're looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager or Senior Product Manager within a SaaS or software organisation.
  • Strong experience owning and prioritising software product roadmaps.
  • Experience working closely with software engineering and technical teams.
  • The ability to balance customer requirements, commercial objectives and technical constraints.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Confidence making and defending evidence-based product prioritisation decisions.
  • Strong commercial awareness combined with a customer-focused approach.
  • Must have strong, hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (D365BC), with a good understanding of the product, its capabilities and how it is used within customer environments.

Desirable Experience

Any of the following would be particularly beneficial:

  • Experience within ERP or CRM software.
  • Background within vertical SaaS or industry-specific software.
  • Experience within hospitality, leisure or property technology.
  • Product discovery and customer research experience.
  • Previous line management or mentoring responsibility.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this position will mean establishing a clear and well-governed product roadmap aligned with wider business objectives, ensuring investment is focused on the highest-value opportunities.

You'll help strengthen collaboration between Product, Engineering and customer-facing teams while improving customer adoption, satisfaction and overall product value.

The Person

You'll be commercially minded, curious and comfortable challenging assumptions. You'll ask the right questions, use evidence to support decisions and remain focused on measurable customer outcomes.

You'll be pragmatic rather than process-heavy, collaborative in your approach and genuinely interested in understanding how technology can solve real-world business problems.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Product Manager looking to have genuine ownership and influence within a growing software organisation.
