Butler Rose Public Practice is delighted to be supporting our client, a mid-tier tech-driven accountant firm based that are eager to recruit an dynamic Software Advisory Manager to complement their existing Accounts and Outsourcing team and will focus on optimising the firm's cloud accounting technology stack, enhancing internal processes, and advising clients on best-in-class digital solutions. You'll play a central role in shaping the firm's technology-led service delivery and driving innovation across core service lines.
Responsibilities:
- Review and assess cloud accounting software systems (including the core tech stack such as Dext, Xero, and Syft) as well as other complementary apps.
- Lead the implementation of new software solutions and deliver training to end-users.
- Advise business owners on best practice use of cloud accounting software, including producing documentation and supporting business development.
- Partner with client-facing teams to identify and deliver process improvements, enhancing both client experience and team efficiency.
- Develop and roll out strategies that improve productivity and optimise the use of accounting technology.
- Act as a subject matter expert and champion for cloud software internally, supporting colleagues and building capability across the business.
- Stay up to date with emerging trends and maintain relevant software certifications.
- Support the Digital Champions Group in technology-led initiatives and new propositions.
- Monitor and report on software usage and KPIs, providing insights to improve performance.
- Manage software operations, including onboarding/offboarding users and overseeing vendor contracts.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of core accounting software and specialist reporting tools (e.g., Xero, Castaway, Syft).
- Proven accountancy background, ideally with a recognised qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- Experience of accounting technology and its application in practice or client settings.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable recommendations.
- Track record in operational efficiency and process improvement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in managing both internal stakeholders and external client relationships.
- Proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to champion new technologies and drive adoption.
