Role overview:
As a Technical Lead, you’ll engage directly with clients from the early stages of a project to understand their strategic goals and translate these into scalable, future-proof technical solutions. Your role will span technical planning, leadership, hands-on development, and team mentorship.
You’ll operate at the intersection of creativity and technology, helping shape exceptional digital products—from advanced marketing sites to robust web applications. You will be responsible for the technical strategy, guiding teams, and ensuring delivery of high-quality digital experiences.
Responsibilities:
Technical Planning
- Translate client goals into scalable technical solutions from project inception.
- Research and prototype new approaches, selecting tech stacks based on requirements.
- Create implementation-ready documentation and partner with delivery leads on risk, complexity, and estimates.
- Lead the full planning phase, from requirements gathering to architecture review and sign-off.
- Align with UX and define delivery roadmaps focused on MVP and iterative delivery.
Technical Leadership
- Act as lead advisor, aligning design, UX, and engineering throughout delivery.
- Drive accessibility, performance, and security best practices.
- Guide teams with clear documentation, code reviews, and process improvements.
- Lead client-facing technical discussions, proposals, and architecture approvals.
- Simplify complex requirements for non-technical audiences.
Strategic Solution Design
- Own the definition of pragmatic, scalable technical strategies.
- Lead solutions for CMS migrations (e.g., Sitecore to WordPress) and headless builds (e.g., Contentful).
- Present architectural approaches and MVP roadmaps internally and to clients.
Hands-On Development
- Support teams with front-end and back-end contributions to maintain momentum.
- Deliver performance-driven user interactions and oversee CI/CD and hosting environments.
Culture & Innovation
- Promote innovation, experimentation, and cross-functional problem-solving.
- Mentor peers, foster continuous learning, and contribute to process evolution.
- Evaluate and advocate for emerging tech including AI and next-gen frameworks.
Essential Experience:
- 5+ years in full-stack development with a proven delivery record.
- Leadership experience in multidisciplinary teams, ideally in digital/creative agencies.
- Strong front-end skills: HTML, CSS/Tailwind, JavaScript/TypeScript, and frameworks like React, Vue, or Next.js.
- Backend experience with Node.js, or PHP
- Proficient in custom CMS builds and integrations, particularly WordPress and Contentful.
- Familiar with animation libraries (e.g., GSAP, Lottie, Framer Motion).
- Skilled in CI/CD, Git workflows, API integration, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Solid grasp of scalable architecture patterns and infrastructure fundamentals.
- Excellent communicator, capable of clear technical documentation and stakeholder explanation.
