Purpose of Job
We’re looking for a driven and commercially astute Cyber Security Solutions Specialist to join our growing Public Sector team at Bytes. In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for driving revenue and GP growth by identifying, developing, and closing new security-focused opportunities across both existing public sector accounts and new business.
Working in close partnership with our Account Managers, you’ll play a key role in expanding Bytes’ footprint as a trusted cyber security partner - helping public sector organisations strengthen their security and networking posture through industry‐leading solutions and services.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Drive new business and cross-sell opportunities across public sector accounts, delivering compelling proposals and supporting customer meetings.
- Partner closely with Account Managers to uncover whitespace, support sales conversations, and position Bytes’ cyber security solutions effectively.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams, vendors, and key customer stakeholders to enhance collaboration and sales execution.
- Manage your pipeline and performance, maintaining accurate CRM data and achieving (or exceeding) revenue, GP, and KPI targets.
- Deliver sales enablement, sharing knowledge, training content, and insights that elevate team capability.
- Support marketing activity by contributing thought leadership content, participating in campaigns, and representing Bytes externally.
- Enhance Bytes’ cyber proposition by working with the Vendor Solutions team to identify new revenue streams and strengthen our offerings.
What You’ll Bring
- 4+ years’ sales experience in the software or technology industry.
- Strong commercial understanding of Cyber Security & Networking markets.
- High-level awareness across broader IT domains such as Cloud (Azure/AWS), Modern Workplace, Data, Automation, FinOps, AI, and Service Management.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and customer‐facing skills.
- Strong organisational ability - capable of managing multiple priorities with accuracy and pace.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and CRM systems.
- A proactive, flexible mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional customer outcomes.
- Experience selling into the public sector is a significant advantage.
