JOB TITLE: Software Engineer – Full-Stack Developer

LOCATION: Swindon, Wiltshire

SALARY: £40,000 - £65,000 (Dependent on experience)

THE SOFTWARE ENGINEER OPPORTUNITY:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain modern full-stack applications
• Contribute to both new greenfield projects and enhancements to existing systems
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
• Take part in code reviews, agile ceremonies, and continuous integration processes
• Use modern tools and practices including containerisation, Git, and CI/CD workflows

YOUR KEY SKILLS:

• Proven experience in full-stack or frontend/backend development
• Proficiency in ReactJS and modern JavaScript/TypeScript
• Hands- on experience with backend frameworks such as PHP (Laravel), or C# (ASP.NET Core)
• Strong understanding of relational databases (SQL Server or MySQL) and ORM frameworks
• Experience with Docker and containerised deployment workflows
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development practices
• Solid testing knowledge and attention to clean, maintainable code

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:

• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools
• Knowledge of microservices or event-driven architecture
• Agile development and project planning experience
• Interest in security, performance optimisation, and scalable system design
