About the Job:
As Head of Network Operations, you’ll lead the Network Operation Centre to ensure network reliability and performance across my clients charging networks. You’ll have full P&L accountability, drive operational excellence and play a critical role in optimising assets, systems and processes to maximise performance and uptime.
- Lead and oversee the Network Operations Centre, ensuring reliability, availability, and safety of critical network assets.
 - Develop and deliver network maintenance and field service strategies aligned with organisational goals and industry best practice.
 - Champion innovation, adopting new technologies to improve network performance and efficiency.
 - Manage and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
 - Plan and control budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources without compromising quality.
 - Coordinate with engineering, customer, and procurement teams to optimise maintenance scheduling, asset lifecycle management, and capital projects.
 - Drive predictive and preventative maintenance programmes using data analytics and condition monitoring.
 - Ensure compliance with all regulatory, health and safety, and company requirements.
 - Establish and monitor KPIs for operational performance and present regular reports to senior leadership.
 - Lead response efforts for network failures and emergencies, minimising downtime.
 - Build strong relationships with charger manufacturers and key suppliers, leading negotiations to support operational excellence.
 
About you:
- Extensive experience in network and asset management.
 - Proven leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary technical teams.
 - Strong background in maintenance strategy development for large-scale network assets.
 - Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
 - Data-driven approach with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
 - Proficiency in CMMS, asset management, and data analytics tools.
 - Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and cost control.
 - Ability to lead change and drive innovation in operational practices.
 - Degree in Engineering, Asset Management, or related discipline.
 - Membership of a relevant governing body (e.g. IET, IMechE, IEEE) and professional certifications (e.g. CMIOSH, IRCA, IAM) are highly desirable.
