JOB TITLE:

Platform Engineer

LOCATION:

Hybrid working (Gloucestershire)

SALARY:

£55,000 – £60,000 per annum

THE BUSINESS:

C4S Search are working with a growing UK-based software business seeking a collaborative Platform Engineer to own the reliability of the platform and contribute to new feature development.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own the health, performance, and reliability of core platforms and infrastructure
  • Proactively monitor and improve observability, resilience, and availability
  • Manage and optimise Azure, Windows infrastructure, and SQL Server environments
  • Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
  • Collaborate with development teams to deliver scalable platform improvements

KEY SKILLS:

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and managed Windows server environments
  • Proven SQL Server administration and performance tuning expertise
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Octopus)
  • Experience with logging and monitoring tools, including Sentry
  • Background in backend development using C#/.NET

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, ARM templates)
  • Familiarity with ETL processes and data integration technologies
  • Experience working in agile or Scrum environments
