Solutions Lead - Critical National Infrastructure

Who we are:

Founded in 2006, CACI Information Intelligence Group (IIG) is an exciting, growing and progressive business unit within CACI UK. We currently have over 650 intelligent, professional and engaging staff. Through a rigorous emphasis on quality, the company has grown considerably to become one of the UK’s most well-respected Technical Engineering consultancies.

The Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) area forms one of our four Business Streams within CACI’s Information Intelligence Group (IIG). Based on our excellent track record and growing market share in adjacent markets such as Defence, National Security and Central Government, we have set ambitious but achievable targets for significant growth. As part of our growth strategy we are looking for a Solution Lead.

The Role:

Reporting directly to the Director of CNI, as a member of the CNI Leadership Team, with a dotted line to IIG’s Solutions Lead. You will be working with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to define compelling propositions and deliver high-quality, differentiated solutions. The Solutions Lead will support both growth and delivery, expanding existing accounts and securing new business through bids, proposals, and strong technical narratives. You will play a key role in strengthening CACI’s position as a trusted partner across the UK CNI sector.

In addition, the role includes line management responsibility for Principal Technology Consultants (PTCs) within the CNI business unit, ensuring strong technical leadership, capability growth, and alignment to business priorities.

The Fit:

As a Solutions Lead within CNI, you will combine technical depth, commercial awareness, and leadership capability, with a strong understanding of mission-critical environments. You will be able to demonstrate:

  • Proven ability to design and lead complex technical solutions in a public sector or CNI context.
  • Strong experience in technical bid writing and proposal leadership, including large and complex procurements.
  • Experience working across the full software lifecycle: from concept to delivery and support.
  • Deep understanding of modern software engineering practices, architectures, and technologies.
  • Ability to lead virtual teams of SMEs to deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with confidence engaging at senior client levels.
  • Experience implementing complex systems and digital services, including architecture and delivery oversight.

Due to the industries we work in, we require all our team to be able to obtain security clearance. To qualify for this, you must be a British passport holder and have lived permanently in the UK for the last 5 years.
