Location: Bristol

1. Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support the delivery of infrastructure-focused technology projects within a complex enterprise environment. This role will play a key part in planning, coordinating, and driving business analysis activities across operational infrastructure, networking, and decommissioning programmes.

The successful candidate will work closely with both technical and business stakeholders to ensure requirements are clearly defined, documented, and delivered in line with project objectives.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse, and document business and technical requirements.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to understand business needs and project impacts.
• Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of infrastructure and networking projects.
• Perform impact assessments, process mapping, and gap analysis.
• Work alongside project managers, technical teams, and operational stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Track requirements through the project life cycle and manage changes where required.
• Support decommissioning activities, ensuring risks, dependencies, and business impacts are identified and mitigated.
• Produce high-quality documentation, including Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), process flows, user stories, and project artefacts.
• Assist with testing, business readiness, and implementation activities.

3. Key Requirements

• Proven experience working as a Business Analyst within IT or technology change environments.
• Strong planning, organisation, and coordination skills.
• Experience supporting operational infrastructure, networking, and decommissioning (decom) projects.
• Ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a complex delivery environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.

4. Desirable Skills

• Experience working within large-scale infrastructure transformation programmes.
• Understanding of network technologies, Servers, cloud platforms, and data centre environments.
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Business Analysis qualification (BCS, IIBA, or equivalent).
• Experience using Jira, Confluence, Visio, or similar tools.

5. Location Requirement

This position is based in Bristol, and preference will be given to candidates who are located within a reasonable commuting distance of the site. Regular onsite collaboration with project teams and stakeholders will be required.
