AWS Platform Engineer - SC Cleared

Rate: £535 a day (Inside IR35)

Duration: 6 months

Clearance: SC Clearance required

Location: Leeds - on site 1 day a month

You will join a global IT consultancy who are bringing digital transformation to the NHS. You will join a team which has the ongoing responsibility for hosting, maintaining and supporting the critical Spine Core messaging platform and infrastructure.

Core Skills

• Cloud architecture / AWS
• Terraform, other IaC tools welcome
• Github Actions, other pipeline tools welcome
• Observability tooling - any tool welcome
• Strong understanding of the S(ecure)SDLC

Desirable Skills

• Any programming language experience; particularly but not exclusively Python
• Previous experience as a software engineer on a product-orientated team is a bonus
• Experience evangelising platform engineering practices and principles
• An understanding of what force multiplication looks like, for a DevOps/Platform team
• Experience building reusable, consumable, Infrastructure-as-Code and CI jobs
• Enthusiasm for maximising software teams' autonomy, whilst ensuring the appropriate levels of alignment and quality is assured
