Content QA Tester

Content QA Tester

Location: London
Contract: 6 months
Department: Content / Digital
Working pattern: Hybrid

About the role

We're looking for a Content QA Tester to join our team and help ensure our campaigns and website content meet the highest standards before they go live.

You'll be responsible for testing digital content across campaigns and consumer websites, checking everything from copy, imagery and links through to pricing, legal wording, calls to action and responsive behaviour across different devices.

This is a detail-focused role where accuracy matters. You'll work to defined test plans, identify and clearly document issues, retest fixes and work closely with the Content QA Lead to ensure content is ready for release.

You don't necessarily need a traditional QA background. We're open to people from digital production, web publishing, content operations or other detail-focused environments where you've demonstrated that you can work accurately and consistently under deadline.

Key responsibilities

Test Execution

  • Execute functional, regression and cross-device testing across campaigns and website content, working to test plans set by the Content QA Lead.
  • Check content against approved briefs, including copy, links, imagery, pricing, terms and calls to action.
  • Test across required browsers, devices and screen sizes, ensuring content behaves correctly at each responsive breakpoint.
  • Complete test cycles to agreed deadlines and provide early warning when a deadline is at risk.
  • Ensure all required checks are completed consistently before content is signed off.

Defect Logging & Reporting

  • Identify, raise and log bugs, issues and discrepancies clearly, providing enough detail for another team member to reproduce and resolve the issue without unnecessary follow-up.
  • Assign accurate severity and priority information to help the team assess and resolve defects.
  • Immediately escalate any issue that could block a release to the Content QA Lead.
  • Retest fixes and confirm resolution before content is signed off.
  • Keep test records, QA trackers and defect information up to date so the wider team has an accurate view of progress and status.

Localisation & Standards Checks

  • Review localised content for accuracy, completeness and the correct regional variants.
  • Escalate content that appears incorrect or inappropriate for a particular market.
  • Test content against brand, accessibility and compliance checklists provided by the QA Lead and Manager.
  • Identify and flag missing disclaimers, incorrect legal wording, copyright gaps or other compliance concerns rather than assuming they are intentional.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the standards expected across different markets and content types.

Team Contribution

  • Support the Content QA Lead during peak campaign periods and high-volume release cycles.
  • Contribute to test cases, QA checklists and improvements to testing processes.
  • Identify recurring issues and suggest improvements where the same check repeatedly catches the same problem.
  • Identify repetitive manual checks that could potentially be automated and raise opportunities with the Content QA Lead or Automation Lead.
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative QA culture where everyone takes ownership of quality.

What we're looking for

Experience

  • 1-3 years' experience in QA, digital production, web publishing or another comparable detail-focused role.
  • Experience working with digital campaigns, CMS platforms or consumer-facing websites is desirable.
  • Experience working within a defined process and reporting into a lead or manager.
  • Experience working to deadlines where accuracy and attention to detail are important.
  • We're also interested in strong candidates from non-QA backgrounds who can demonstrate excellent attention to detail and accuracy under pressure.

Skills & behaviours

  • Excellent attention to detail and the discipline to work through a checklist consistently.
  • Strong written communication, particularly the ability to describe a defect clearly so that someone else can understand and act on it.
  • Comfortable using QA and ticketing tools such as Jira, or willing to learn.
  • Willingness to learn tools such as BrowserStack and CMS platforms.
  • Able to manage several concurrent tasks and proactively ask for prioritisation when priorities conflict.
  • Awareness of accessibility principles and responsive web design, with an appetite to develop this further.
  • Comfortable challenging something when it doesn't look right.
  • Confidence to raise concerns even when doing so may create pressure on a delivery timeline.
  • A methodical, reliable and collaborative approach to work.

Your role is to test, identify, document, communicate and retest issues, ensuring that content meets the agreed requirements before release.

Why join us?

You'll play a key role in protecting the quality of some of the world's most recognisable gaming content and campaigns.

You'll work alongside experienced QA, Content and Digital teams, develop your understanding of large-scale digital content delivery and have the opportunity to grow your skills across QA, accessibility, responsive design, CMS platforms and automation.

If you're naturally curious, highly detail-oriented and the kind of person who spots the one thing everyone else has missed, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply now and tell us what makes you a great fit for the role.
