The Role

Are you a DevOps Engineer who speaks "Network"?

We are partnering with a world-leading technology company in Cambridge to find a specialist DevOps Engineer.

The core Network Engineering team is currently operating at maximum capacity.

They need a safe pair of hands to step in, manage critical deployments, and automate workflows to free up bandwidth for the wider team.

What you'll be doing:

Automation & Deployment: Utilizing Python, Terraform, and Ansible to automate network configurations and infrastructure deployment.

Immediate Impact: alleviating pressure on the current Network Engineers by picking up complex work packages immediately.

Knowledge Transfer: Documenting your work and conducting hand-overs/training with the permanent team to ensure long-term maintainability.

Your skills and experience:

Strong commercial experience with Python, Terraform, and Ansible.

Network Fundamentals: You must have underpinning network knowledge. You don't need to be a CCIE, but you need to understand what you are automating (Switching, Routing, IPAM, etc.).

Experience with NetBox.

Autonomy: You must be a self-starter.
