Location: Telford/ Hybrid, 2 days per week in the office
Contract: 6 months
Rate: Up to £600 inside ir35
Clearance: BPSS required

We are looking for an experienced Java Engineer to join a high-profile technology programme focused on modernising and transforming legacy services.

You'll work as part of a collaborative Agile/Scrum team, alongside Java Engineers, Front End Developers and Quality Engineers, helping to design, develop and deliver modern, scalable services.

Key Skills Required

• Strong commercial experience with Java
• Spring Boot
• JUnit
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments
• Strong understanding of software development and testing best practices

Desirable Skills

Experience with any of the following would be beneficial:

• JPA
• Kibana
• Maven
• Mockito
• AWS
• GitLab
• Helm
• OpenAPI
• SQL
• Shell Scripting

The Role

You'll be involved in the development and modernisation of critical services, contributing throughout the software development lifecycle. The role offers the opportunity to work within a technically diverse team and play a key part in moving legacy services towards modern technology solutions.
