  • Rate: £450-£500 per day (Inside IR35)
  • Location: Hybrid working
  • Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain UK SC Clearance
  • Duration: Initial 6 months with strong extension potential

Key Skills:

Programme Planner required to support a complex, multi-project delivery environment where accurate, integrated planning is critical to programme success.

This role will act as the single source of truth for programme schedules, milestones, dependencies, and delivery confidence. You'll work closely with PMO teams, delivery leads, and senior stakeholders to ensure planning accuracy, transparency, and strong governance across the programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain integrated programme and project schedules using enterprise planning tools
  • Align milestones and deliverables to contractual and programme requirements
  • Monitor delivery progress and maintain accurate schedule baselines
  • Produce clear reporting packs, dashboards, and schedule insights
  • Manage stage gates, baselines, and change control in line with governance standards
  • Facilitate planning workshops with project teams and key stakeholders
  • Identify and manage cross-workstream dependencies, risks, and issues
  • Drive continuous improvement across planning processes, tools, and reporting

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience in programme or portfolio planning within complex, multi-project environments
  • Strong hands-on experience with planning and reporting tools such as:
    • MS Project
    • Jira
    • Power BI
    • Excel
  • Understanding of project and programme methodologies including MSP, PRINCE2, and Agile
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and collaborate across delivery teams

Highly Desirable

  • Professional project or programme certifications
  • Experience within large-scale outsourced or BPO environments
  • Background working within enterprise PMO functions
  • Experience with automated reporting and Agile planning techniques
