What You'll Do
As a Software Test Engineer, you'll be responsible for building, testing, and improving the software that underpins our advanced products and services. You'll help ensure that every line of code meets the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance.
- Building, testing, and verifying software to support the company's product range.
- Producing and maintaining software build and test specifications.
- Acting as a technical liaison within and with external partners, customers, and collaborators.
- Working to improve software testability and streamline build/test processes.
- Supporting wider engineering and project activities as required.
- Taking part in on-site testing and sea trials in the UK and abroad.
What You'll Bring
- A strong technical background and understanding of the software engineering lifecycle, especially in test and integration.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with the confidence to liaise across technical and non-technical teams.
- Familiarity with scripting or programming languages (for test automation or build scripting).
- A proactive, detail-oriented approach with a passion for quality and improvement.
Experience That Helps You Stand Out
- Minimum 1 year's experience testing software for Windows-based systems.
- Experience writing test plans, test specifications, and reports.
- Exposure to software build processes and installer creation (desirable).
- Previous experience in a technical or engineering environment (preferred).
- A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
