Assistant Sales Director
CCL (North) Ltd is a trusted leader in electronic and electrical resource management, based in Irvine, Ayrshire. Operating at the forefront of the Circular Economy, delivering reuse, repair and recycling solutions for all types of IT, WEEE & Display products.
We are seeking a strategically focused, growth oriented Assistant Sales Director with demonstrable experience in a similar sales leadership role . You will play a pivotal part in strengthening sales structure, driving strategic consistency, and developing a capable, effective team - acting as a key support to the Sales Director and helping shape the future of our sales organisation as we expand our business.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Revenue
- Review market conditions, customer needs and internal performance to support better decisions.
- Improve sales forecasting, reporting and pipeline management so information is clear and reliable.
- Put simple, consistent sales processes and tools in place across the team.
Sales Team Growth & Development
- Support the growth of the sales team, including planning roles and helping with recruitment as the business grows.
- Build a sales structure that is clear, practical and able to scale with the business.
- Coach and support the sales and customer services team to build confidence, skills and strategic thinking.
- Promote high standards, accountability and ongoing development across the team.
- Ensure new starters are properly onboarded and that training supports long‐term development and succession.
Sales Delivery & Account Management
- Lead structured account planning so key customers receive consistent service and support.
- Track customer satisfaction and work with internal teams to ensure commitments are met.
- Oversee the preparation of tenders, frameworks, proposals and contracts to ensure quality and consistency.
- Work closely with operations, logistics, compliance and finance to make sure sales commitments can be delivered.
- Represent the business at customer meetings and industry events.
Essential Criteria:
- Significant B2B sales experience, with a proven track record in a similar role supporting or leading a sales function.
- Demonstrated ability to define and execute sales and business development strategy in a comparable environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience of working with marketing and bid teams to shape opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred
- Prior experience in the ITAD, WEEE recycling or environmental sector is a plus
