Business Development Executive - Sheffield £55k ote (car bonus pension etc)
A growing engineering technology company that leverages cutting-edge engineering solutions and AI is currently looking to expand its business development team. They are seeking a bright and ambitious individual to join their sales function. The key attributes for this role are intelligence, curiosity, strong interpersonal skills, and self-motivation. You should be a proactive self-starter with a genuine interest in technology.
Ideally, you will be a graduate or have completed a technical apprenticeship, with an interest in STEM or engineering disciplines. This is an excellent opportunity to sell innovative technology solutions while working closely with experienced leaders, offering clear progression within a structured and supportive environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Building and managing relationships with new and existing clients
- Identifying new business opportunities within the technology sector
- Supporting the full sales cycle, from prospecting through to closing deals
- Collaborating with internal teams to drive successful outcomes
Your background:
- Graduate or completion of a technical apprenticeship
- Interest in engineering or STEM-related fields
- 1–2 years’ experience in sales or business development
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ambitious, self-motivated, and target-driven
- Ability to work independently and manage client relationships
- Desire to build a long-term career in sales
- Full, clean driving licence
