Business Development Manager
As CDS continues to grow we have an exciting new position for a Business Development Manager. We are seeking a dynamic and versatile professional to support the growth and successful deployment of our industry leading CODAS ERP. This consolidated role combines business development and customer account management to ensure end to end success for new and existing customers. Key responsibilities include:
Business Development:
- Identifying and opening doors to prospective new customers.
- Respond to enquiries, including formal Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Quotation (RFQ).
- Identify and prioritise most likely and beneficial prospects for focus.
- Organise and lead prospect visits to demonstrate CODAS and understand their businesses (with assistance from CDS Subject Matter Experts).
- Establish and maintain relationships with prospects.
- Support implementation team until the account is handed over to a long-term account manager (which, in some cases, will be the person in this role).
- Understand and present current pricing model. Provide input into future models.
- Create proposals and handle negotiations with prospects.
Account management:
- Own ongoing relationship with CODAS customers.
- Hold regular reviews.
- Handle escalations.
- Handle commercial and contractual negotiations.
- Mobilise resource in line with broader Company commitments.
Contributing to Marketing initiatives.
A period of acclimatisation and training will be necessary, all of which will be provided for the successful applicant. Successful candidates must demonstrate flexibility and eagerness to adjust working hours and patterns to meet the needs of our customers and always see issues through to completion. This role will require regular travel to client sites including the possibility of trips abroad (within Europe).
Essential requirements:
- Downstream fuels industry knowledge and experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attentive listener who is comfortable working with client senior managers and directors.
- Strong sense of ownership with the ability to follow tasks through to completion.
- Experience of using CODAS
- Experience working in a similar role
