Working Pattern

  • First 2 weeks: On-site 5 days per week
  • Ongoing: Typically 2 days on-site / 3 days remote (flexible where required)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Team Leader to lead and support a high-performing infrastructure function across a multi-site environment.

You’ll be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations (BAU), driving infrastructure projects, and ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of core IT systems.

This is a hands-on leadership role, working closely with internal IT teams, stakeholders, and third-party suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Infrastructure team across BAU support and project delivery
  • Own escalations, major incidents, and root cause analysis (RCA)
  • Manage and maintain core infrastructure (servers, storage, network) in line with ITIL practices
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Support, Cyber, Applications) to manage workloads and priorities
  • Support the design and delivery of infrastructure changes and improvements
  • Ensure infrastructure availability, performance, and resilience across the organisation
  • Manage third-party vendors and service providers
  • Maintain documentation, processes, and service standards
  • Ensure incidents are resolved within SLA and investigate breaches
  • Deputise for the Infrastructure Manager when required

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience leading infrastructure or technical support teams
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Azure, VMware, and VDI (AVD, Citrix)
  • Networking (LAN, WAN, SD-WAN)
  • Microsoft 365, Exchange, and Intune
  • Server environments (Windows Server, Linux)
  • Experience working in a multi-site environment (retail or distributed business advantageous)
  • Strong incident management and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management ability
  • Ability to balance BAU operations with project delivery
