ICT Apprenticeship

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an ICT Apprentice. This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop a wide range of skills in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

Role

Technical Knowledge and Skills Development:

  • Investigate and understand various IT legislations
  • Learn and explain the principles of system backup and storage
  • Understand and describe the elements of technical documentation and its importance in escalation
  • Apply root cause problem-solving techniques using diagnostic tools
  • Understand basic network addressing principles
  • Learn about cloud services and their key principles
  • Analyse network fundamentals and components

Customer and Stakeholder Interaction:

  • Interpret and prioritise customer requirements in line with organisational policies
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, using appropriate technical or non-technical language
  • Describe different types of maintenance and preventative measures
  • Operate safely and securely across platforms, applying key security principles
  • Manage and prioritise workload effectively
  • Demonstrate professionalism and independent initiative
  • Take a productive and organised approach to work
  • Show self-motivation and effective time management

On-programme Training: 

  • Level 3 Information Communication Technichan  
  • Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English  
  • Institute of Apprenticeship Certificate 
  • End-Point Assessment (EPA) 
  • Assessment of competency through competency-based interview
  • Assessment of portfolio of evidence
  • Continuing Professional Development Log reviewed
  • Professional discussion/question and answer session
  • Potential for employment within the industry, or seek further education once qualified
