Solution Architect - SAP / Workday - Global FMCG

Initial Term: 3 Months (strong potential for extension)

Our client, a global FMCG organisation, has recently acquired a US-based business of similar size. Both entities currently operate on different SAP landscapes, and the combined group is now moving employee data and HR processes into Workday.

A proactive Solution Architect is required to lead the transformation of employee data from SAP ECC into Workday, using the organisation's middleware technology. This is a day-one assignment - no solution design has been completed yet - so the successful candidate will take immediate ownership of defining the target architecture, integration approach, and technical blueprint.

There is a strong likelihood that this contract will extend into the implementation phase after the design work is delivered.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end solution design for integrating SAP ECC employee data into Workday using existing middleware
• Connect functional and technical workstreams, ensuring end-to-end alignment
• Own Fit-Gap analysis, business requirements, and solution documentation
• Challenge existing processes and propose improved, scalable solutions
• Produce all architectural artefacts, data flows, and design blueprints from scratch
• Engage confidently with senior stakeholders and programme leadership

Experience Required

• Strong experience as a Solution Architect on SAP transformation programmes
• Expertise with SAP ECC (including Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, and Invoices)
• Hands-on experience integrating Workday (or other HR systems) with SAP
• Understanding of employee data flows, middleware integration, and workflow management
• Proven ability to run Fit-Gap analysis and define business/technical requirements
• Excellent communication skills - able to explain complex solutions clearly and challenge existing ways of working
• Comfortable managing multiple workstreams simultaneously
