Senior Avionics Software & Verification Engineer (DO-178)
For one of our clients, we are looking for a Senior Avionics Software & Verification Engineer to support the development, integration, verification, and certification of safety-critical airborne systems within a major aerospace and defence programme.
This opportunity is onsite in Lancashire (flexible hybrid is fine). It can be open to freelancers and permanent employees.
Key skills:
- Embedded Systems Engineering experience
- Practical experience working within DO-178C or DO-178B development and verification environments
- Background in Requirements engineering, Software verification and validation, Requirements-based testing Integration testing
- Experience with avionics communication protocols, including ARINC 429
- Knowledge of safety-critical HMI, alert management, and operator interaction systems
- Programming experience in C++, Python, or Embedded software environment
