Senior Network and Security Engineer

CMC Markets is looking for an experienced Senior Network & Security Engineer to join our Technology team. This role plays a key part in designing, building and supporting our global network infrastructure, ensuring high performance, resilience and security across on-premise and cloud environments.You will work across both project delivery and business-as-usual operations, supporting critical trading platforms in a fast-paced, regulated environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement and maintain CMC Markets’ global LAN, WAN and cloud network infrastructureDeliver network engineering and design for new initiatives, alongside ongoing BAU growth and optimisationMonitor network performance, capacity and availability, providing proactive support and troubleshootingImplement new network services in line with internal policies, standards and security requirementsIdentify, advise on and remediate network and security risksMaintain secure VPN connectivity with external partners, ensuring alignment with current best practicesPerform BAU changes and troubleshooting on Palo Alto and Cisco ASA firewallsLead investigation and resolution of network and security incidentsCollaborate closely with internal technology teams to resolve connectivity issuesMaintain accurate technical documentation and diagramsEnsure all work is delivered in line with CMC Markets’ policies, procedures and compliance obligationsSkills & ExperienceEssentialStrong experience operating and troubleshooting Cisco ACI environmentsHands-on experience with multicast networkingCCNP-level networking knowledge or certificationProven experience designing and building data centre and cloud networksSolid knowledge of Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switch platformsExcellent documentation, communication and stakeholder engagement skillsDesirableExperience supporting Market Data network feedsExposure to SD-WAN technologiesExperience supporting low-latency production networks within trading or financial services environmentsExperience with Cisco ASA and Meraki WirelessHands-on experience with Palo Alto firewallsAt CMC Markets, you’ll work with cutting-edge technology in a collaborative environment where reliability, security and performance are critical.
