This role suits someone with solid experience in IT support or managed services who enjoys coordinating activity, keeping projects on track, and making sure work is delivered properly and on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the planning, coordination, and delivery of IT infrastructure and cloud-based projects.
  • Work closely with senior engineers and project leads to ensure tasks are completed on schedule and to agreed standards.
  • Carry out hands-on technical work, including system configuration, migrations, and basic network setup.
  • Liaise directly with clients to understand requirements, manage expectations, and provide regular progress updates.
  • Produce and maintain clear project documentation, including system setups and handover materials for support teams.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during project delivery.
  • Ensure security standards and industry best practices are followed throughout all project work.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • 2-4 years' experience in IT support, managed services, helpdesk, or a similar environment, with some exposure to project work or technical rollouts.
  • Good working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 (Office 365), Intune, and core networking concepts.
  • Experience using RMM tools in a support or MSP environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with confidence dealing directly with clients.
  • Well organised, able to manage multiple tasks, and comfortable working under pressure.

Desirable (Not Essential)

  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS, and virtualisation technologies including VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Experience with network hardware (firewalls, switches) and general security principles.
  • Awareness of IT service management frameworks (e.g. ITIL) and project methodologies (PRINCE2, Agile).
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Fundamentals, or Azure Administrator Associate.

What's on Offer

  • Real ownership of meaningful projects within a growing UK-based IT business.
  • A supportive, collaborative team environment.
  • Exposure to a wide range of client environments and technologies.
  • Clear opportunities for progression and professional development.

The Ideal Candidate

You're calm under pressure, proactive, and enjoy working in a fast-paced IT support environment. You care about delivering a good service, like working through technical tasks in a structured way, and take pride in seeing projects completed properly from start to finish.
